Do my TVs need to be boxed?
Is your moving company licensed and insured?
Yes, all TVs must be boxed to ensure that no damages occur. Our insurance will not cover TVs that are not properly boxed for transport. We suggest that you move the TVs yourself or at minimum you should obtain a large box to cover the screen fully. Place bubble wrap on the screen and tape the box (cut to fit) over the TV screen.
Yes, a standard moving industry insurance covers items at $.60 a pound, not the items true value. You also have the option to purchase full coverage insurance through your own insurance company or a third party insurer.
Does your company charge by the hour?
Most of our moves we charge from the time we arrive to the time we finish, calculated at the nearest 1/4 hour. (We do not charge for our time if we have a long day and stop lunch. It is rare for us to stop for lunch)
Some of our moves (based on location to/from) we do charge from the time we leave our yard to the time we return to our yard in the West Valley.

Do I have to empty my dresser?
Although it is best to empty the dresser feel free to leave non-breakable, light weight items in drawers as long as the dresser isn't too heavy. We will shrink wrap any doors and drawers closed.
Do I have to close my boxes?
Yes, it is always best to close, tape and label every box. (Do not over pack boxes! Place heavy items is smaller boxes. Be sure to protect your valuables with paper or bubble wrap.
Do you charge more for pianos, gun safes, pool tables or hot tubs?
Yes, we charge more for pianos and gun safes generally ranging from $100-$250. Call, text or email for a better idea on pricing. Our movers will determine the fee on move day.

Do you charge extra for flights of stairs?
No (most companies do charge a fee for stairs)
Do you charge for the travel time from your office to my home?
In some cases, Yes. Most of our moves our time starts when we arrive at your house and stops when we finish unloading. We do charge more for moves to/from the East Valley due to time and distance.

Do you charge extra for hand trucks, moving dollies, tools, blankets or furniture wrap?
No, this is all included in our truck/ trailer fee.
What do you charge for your truck and enclosed trailer and how big are your enclosed trailers?
Our fee is based on the area of town being moved from or to ranging from $205-305. *Moves in the East Valley are subject to a higher fee due to travel distance and time.
We have four large fully enclosed trailers. Two 20', and two 24' in length. Call, text or email us for more info.
Can I rent a big box truck from a company like Penske or UHaul and have AZ Firemen Movers load/unload for a fee?

Do you charge extra for moves in the evenings or on the weekends?
Yes, due to the increase in labor cost we do charge more and pay our workers more during the weekend. We work most every day of the year except major holidays and the fees are the same year round based on weekend and weekday rates.
What payment options do you offer?
We are able to accept all major forms of payment. (Debit and Credit card processing add 4% fee to your total bill) Call, text or email for more information.
Do you use temps and day labor?
No, AZ Firemen Movers only employs off duty firemen, public safety personnel and ex military that we personally know. *Be cautious of companies that use temps or day labor. Our labor force has thoroughly been back ground checked for your safety.
Do you charge a hold or deposit fee? How am I billed?
Yes, we do require a fee to reserve a move day. The deposit is taken to cover our time to set the job up and hold the day for you. This fee covers the truck and equipment and the labor to get to you on move day.
This fee does apply to your move day on our “round trip” moves. If you are not sure what your fee covers please ask.
**This fee is refundable if you cancel before 48 hours of your move day.
Your bill on move day is calculated based on amount of labor at the hourly rate and any specialty items moved.
What kind of cancellation policy do you offer?
We ask for a minimum 48 hour notice so we have the opportunity to book another customer. If you need to reschedule please do so within 48 hours or you will lose your deposit fee.
